Why use us?

Simply because we just advertise smallholdings, farms, equestrian, barn conversions, country houses and other properties with land (at least ½ acre). We build mini-websites to advertise your property that are tailored to the features of your smallholding (or other property with land). This means that visitors to this site can be sure of getting the type of results they are looking for - no town houses or suburban semis will be found here.

A website is no good if it doesn't get visitors. Look at the statistics page to see how well we do. Bear in mind that these visitors are, for the most part, people actively looking for properties with land. Should you advertise with a magazine, even thought the circulation may be many tens of thousands, relatively few will be actively looking for properties.

How will my property look?

This depends on the details you supply, the look you want to achieve and your budget - see the price list page. Below we list some of the alternatives:

As we are just a place to advertise (we are not an estate agent) we will not visit your property - we will rely on you to supply the photographs and other details. We are prepared to work with estate agents and will be happy to link to your property on your estate agent's website. It is important that you accurately describe the property and supply crisp, detailed photographs. A decent photograph is often the first thing that attracts a potential buyer to your property.

We can also incorporate features such as Google Maps to pinpoint your property, an FAQ page to give more tit-bits of information, a business page, local attractions etc.

The key to this is that we tailor the mini-website to what you want for your property.

Featured Property

The home page of the website gives prominence to a single featured property. This featured property will also show top of the list of properties that are currently advertised with us. This is a good way to ensure that your smallholding or other property with land is shown to the maximum number of viewers.

Classified Ads

This is a new feature to help in these cash-strapped times. This allows you to describe your property in a few lines (up to 100 words) in the property list, with a small photograph (about 180x120 pixels) to attract the viewer. As a mini-website does not have to be built, the charges are much cheaper. This is a good way to put your toe in the water to see how much interest is generated. The price list details the very reasonable costs.

SEO

This stands for 'Search Engine Optimisation' and relates to the techniques used to give a website better visibility in the search engines such as Google, Yahoo!, and MSN. This can be a minefield with many so-called 'experts' using dubious techniques or just 'not getting it' - Paul knows, he has helped clients deal with some. Paul has put all the skill and understanding he has into this website using so-called 'white hat' techniques - not the dodgy 'Here today, gone tomorrow' methods that some employ. The proof of the pudding is to do a Google search using a phrase such as 'smallholding for sale'. At the time of writing, we are about number 5 on page 1. Note that it is normal for the placing to go up and down.

Remember that this is a hand-built website, not some automatic system that does not bring out the distinctive features of your property. Quite cheap compared to other costs in selling your home!
