Introduction
This page is intended as a guide to potential advertisers as to how many people visit this website to view smallholdings, or other properties with land. Many websites bandy about meaningless terms such as 'our website gets over a million hits a month'. You will not get such nonsense from us. It is not hits that are important, it is visitors, or better, unique visitors. In other words (as far as it possible to tell): how many different people have visited this site?
When you look at these figures, keep in mind that, for the most part, these are people actively seeking properties with land. A magazine or newspaper may have high circulation figures, but what proportion will be seeking properties?
To start the ball rolling, we are showing the statistics for January 2008 when the site was just advertising Paul's smallholding for sale, before the website was redeveloped to advertise the properties of other vendors.

In this first set, you can see how many visits (not visitors) have been made to the website, how many pages were looked at (you can see the average is over 13 pages per visit - a good result!) and other details.
Within this second set of statistics, you can see the number of unique visitors in the month - this is a key figure for a month. If you are comparing statistics with another website, this is one of the important figures to focus on.
In this third set, you can see that most of the traffic is coming direct from the search engines - in other words people are searching using phrases such as "smallholding for sale" and finding this website.
