Business and Farming support:
There is a lot of support for farming and businesses in this area of Wales. Below I list some of the major support organisations that I am aware of that may be relevant should you wish to farm or run a business.
- Farming Connect brings together the key organisations that provide agricultural help and advice in Wales.
- Business Eye is a free, impartial information service for Wales created to find the answers to your business questions
- Ceredigion Business Centre is a primary stop for all businesses in Ceredigion where they are offered free, impartial advice, guidance and support. The Ceredigion Business Centre directly delivers a range of business and ICT services
- Ceredigion eBusiness Club provides a forum for sharing experience and gleaning information on the incorporating ICT technology into a business to maximise its potential.
- Ceredigion Health Food Program (no website): One of the aims is to improve accessibility to healthy food.
- Ceredigion County Council is the unitary authority for the area. You will need to deal with the "Animal Health" Department should you want to keep sheep, pigs, cattle etc.
Note that the provision of some of these services is subject to the funding regimes of the Welsh Assembly Government and the EU. Changes are being made in 2007/8 so you should verify for yourself that the above information is still current.
